New Liturgical Vestments and Paraments

The use of liturgical vestments for divine worship goes back to the Old Testament and the earliest known example of blessing liturgical vestments originated in 9th century Europe.

Today, we continue this long-standing tradition by dedicating and blessing the magnificent new sacred vestments given by Allan and Sandra Stevens, David Beatty and Marshall Binns, and Ron and Vicki Reder. There really are no words that can satisfactorily describe the beauty of these vestments as well as the gratitude we have for the generosity of this donation.

The Chagall Design Limited vestments were fashioned after original Spanish Colonial woodcarvings created by Allan Steven’s mother, Junia Stevens, in whose memory the cope dedicated. One of the chasubles is given to the Glory of God by Marshall Binns and David Beatty.  And the remaining vestments and paraments are joint gifts from all three families.

Please take a moment to admire these garments up close and to thank Allan and Sandra, Marshall and David, and Ron and Vicki for their hard work and loving generosity.
