Percussion Group UNM is a contemporary percussion ensemble under the direction of Scott Ney in residence at the University of New Mexico Department of Music. Members include students enrolled in the Master of Music program, as well as a few select undergraduate percussion majors.

To mark the centenary of the conclusion of World War I, Air & Hammers -Edmund Connolly, baritone, and Maxine Thévenot, piano – present their program The Great War in Poetry and Music, including works by Gurney, Finzi and Vaughan Williams, and featuring violinist Donna Bacon and speaker Spencer Beckwith.

An Evening with Johannes Brahms: Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico performs the Liebeslieder and Neue Liebeslieder Waltzes, alongside the Sonata in e minor for cello and piano. This concert features pianists Nate Salazar and Debra Ayers, and cellist James Holland.

The Holland Duo – violinist Megan Holland and cellist James Holland – offer a program of chamber music including Maurice Ravel’s sumptuous Sonata in C major for violin and cello.

Las Cantantes, UNM Women’s Ensemble and the women of the Cathedral Choir present Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in a program that also features Michael Shu as solo violinist in Heinrich Biber’s Agony in the Garden and Tomaso Antonio Vitali’s Chaconne for violin and organ.
