The hospitality ministry at the cathedral is alive and well! The regular coffee hour after the late service on Sunday and special receptions for special events are just a couple of ways we offer hospitality at St. John's. This ministry has numerous volunteers, but more volunteers are always welcome. Just contact Carol Tucker Trelease to help.
The purpose of the Greeters is to welcome newcomers by introducing them to others in the church, inviting them to coffee, and taking a minute or two to find out whom they are.
All members of St. John's should be Greeters, take note of new faces, welcome them after the service, take them to coffee, and introduce them to clergy. Simple gestures like welcoming newcomers, getting them bulletins, or introducing yourself show that we are a welcoming church.
The St. Johns’ Flower Ministry brings smiles to sick and shut ins by arranging the altar flowers into small bouquets that can be delivered to those who are homebound. If you would like to help arrange the flowers after the last service or on Monday morning and if you can deliver bouquets, please contact Betty Rangel.
The St. Matthew's Guild is responsible for recording, counting and depositing the church's income. The Guild meets weekly in an atmosphere of good fellowship while ensuring the necessary discipline and process control for high quality results. We also are a group of friends who enjoy one anothers company while doing this important work of the Cathedral.
