From your Jr. Warden and Treasurer, November 10, 2019
- New service schedule attendance: Our new service schedule of 8:00, 9:15, and 11:00 a.m. saw a wonderful attendance at all three services this past week. The 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services will continue to reflect the format with which all are familiar. The 9:15 service will be oriented toward a focus on children and youth. The new format offers opportunities for everyone to find a service that best meets their needs for worship.
- Re-arranging group space: December 4th will find the Mon-Wed-Fri AA meetings moving from the Library to Kaseman Hall (excepting the first Monday of each month when we host the monthly Heading Home luncheon). Please note that Kaseman will not be available from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM on these days. The communications office will be moving to the office adjacent to the library from the room in the clergy office suite.
- New service on Wednesdays – We have added a service of Holy Eucharist on Wednesdays at noon. As a culinary delight, a food truck will be at the Cathedral serving delicious food before and after the service. Join us to share in worship and fellowship each Wednesday. You may have noticed that Maxine Thevenot, our Canon Precentor, has pronounced that the Pink Ladies serve the best and hottest green chile stew ever.
- Many thanks to all who have submitted their pledges for 2020. To date we have received pledges from 98 families amounting to $498,000! This represents 71.1% of our base budget projection for Pledge Support, 65.5% of our stretch budget 1, and 58.6% of our stretch budget 2. As Pledge Support Cards continue to arrive, the leadership team of our Cathedral is committed to develop a budget that will support the Cathedral in meeting the needs of its members as well as our outreach to the community. Submission of your pledge will enable us to develop a more accurate budget as we move into 2020. Please give prayerful consideration to your pledge for 2020 and join us as we move forward in our commitment to meeting our mission goals in the coming year. We are off to a good start!
Faithfully and in celebration of our shared ministry,
Diane Butler, Jr. Warden; Reese Gateley, Treasurer
