We understand how visiting a new church can be intimidating, so we’re addressing FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions). Did we miss something? Please don’t hesitate to contact us in advance or chat with an usher when you visit.
What should I wear?
Albuquerque is a casual city and we want you to feel comfortable. People dress for worship across a wide range of options. Please do not let clothing be a barrier to attending.
Where may I park?
General and handicapped parking are available in the Cathedral lot at Third and Silver. You’ll find additional parking at the Mortgage Finance Authority lot south of the Cathedral at Third and Lead; in the Cathedral Annex lot on the NW corner of Third and Silver; for free in the parking garage across from the main church entrance. Street parking is also available.
What about my children?
Children are welcome at all services. The 9:15 a.m. liturgy (beginning Nov. 3, 2019) is especially designed with children in mind. Our Nursery, located off the Gallery, is open for infants and children up to age 7, 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday mornings. Parents may visit classrooms at any time.
Must I put money in the offering?
We do not expect visitors to contribute. If the Cathedral is your church home, we encourage you to consider the positive impact of regular giving. You may donate by check or cash during the service. Contact the Finance Office for other options.
Does the Cathedral provide funerals for non-members?
We’re committed to providing pastoral support to anyone during bereavement. Options for funeral services range from having a Cathedral clergy person at a graveside or funeral home service to a funeral service (with or without Eucharist) at the Cathedral. Contact the Cathedral office for more information: 505-247-1581.
Does the Cathedral allow non-members to have weddings at the church?
We’re delighted when non-members choose the Cathedral for weddings. Weddings may be simple or elaborate (with or without Eucharist). Our organist is happy to provide music and will work with visiting musicians. Contact the Cathedral office for information about fees and guidelines: 505-247-1581.
