The Cathedral Choir is recognized as one of the finest choral ensembles of its kind in the region. In addition to Sunday morning responsibilities, the Cathedral Choir sings for services of Choral Evensong, on major feasts, participates in the Cathedral Commissions program, has participated in community outreach collaborative concerts with musical community organizations, and is well-known for internationally-released recordings with Raven CD. Tours are also an important part of the Cathedral Choir’s evangelism.
The Cathedral Cherubs offers children from ages three to eight a grounding in music and singing with expert instruction. Cherubs participate in occasional services and concerts throughout the liturgical season. Senior Cherubs may progress to the Cathedral Chorister program.
Children age seven to sixteen prepare and perform the finest choral music for children’s voices. Choristers receive expert instruction in music-reading, ensemble performance skills, and enjoy educational experiences through Friends of Cathedral Music events. Participation in an annual week-long summer program and courses provided by the Royal School of Church Music.
9:45-10:15 AM when singing during 10:30 AM worship.
Cathedral Chamber Choir
The Cathedral Chamber Choir is a group specializing in contemporary music written for small ensembles. Members are drawn primarily from the Cathedral Choir but also include guest singers.
